We met some wonderful people in the Blue Ridge Homesteaders tent at the NC Mountaineer Festival last Saturday, September 18th.
Active homesteaders, gardeners and folks who were planning on homesteading all stopped by to learn about our group. And we got to trade stories and growing tips on everything from green beans to apples and raising chickens.
Festival coordinators Harley and John Masters, who also own and operate the Southern Ridge Cafe in downtown Bakersville, hit another home run with a wide assortment of entertainers, vendors and games. Our favorite was the iron skillet throw.
As you may already know, we're planning on holding our own Blue Ridge Homesteaders conference, planned for Sept-Oct 2022. But we may have an exciting update on that. Stay tuned, as they say!
