Principles to Stand For - Blue Ridge Homesteaders

In this first post, let me share some of the principles that will serve as the foundation of my subsequent blog posts. I invite discussion and respectful debate. Readers are welcome to agree or disagree with my posts, but I do moderate them to prevent spam and to summarily shut down mindless jerks.

America's Founding Principles

Regardless of what the neo-Marxists in Congress, radical Islamists and the legacy media tell you, the bedrocks of American society are The Declaration of Independence, The US Constitution and then The Bill of Rights, written to clarify the terms of The Constitution and prevent government abuse. Every American should know all this, but it’s been educated/indoctrinated out of many of us. The American left and the globalists are hard at work to convince you that these documents are outdated, irrelevant musings by a bunch of old white men who were slave owners. All that vitriol makes perfect sense if you swallow their malevolent premises.

Judeo-Christian Values

Each of the founding documents was based upon Judeo-Christian values: individual rights, the sanctity of human life and established codes of morality and ethics-- such as those set forth in The Ten Commandments, for example. The American left and the globalists are hard at work to convince you that these values are are poisonous and irreconcilable with a “modern” society based upon their "enlightened" principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. How can they control things with people running around adhering to articles of faith and thinking they have God-given individual rights and rewards based upon merit?

Rights Derived from God

The Declaration of Independence specifies that “...all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” Our rights are derived from God-- not government, politicians, or pressure groups. Again, the American left and the globalists are hard at work to limit these rights, with the goal of being the final arbiter of what your rights are. Of course, all pigs are equal, but some are more equal that the others.

Will Somebody Rid Me of this Meddlesome Constitution?

The Constitution and Bill of Rights are not “living documents” in the sense that some people such as Barack Hussein Obama have hinted. Of course, the Bill of Rights has periodically amended the Constitution to prevent confusion and to keep the government from abusing its powers. But beware. When leftists talk about a living document, they mean they’re going to try and change it to conform with their progressive and Marxist doctrine du jour. Your individual rights will disappear. They will tell you what your rights are. Sit down and shut up, insurrectionist!

It’s no wonder then that the progressives and Marxists, or “Social Democrats” as some like to call themselves using a touchy-feely euphemism, first go after a society’s religion, the nuclear family and then the courts and then individual property rights. For these rights are the foundation of our great experiment, the United States of America. You will own nothing, citizen, and be happy!

Violent and Civilizational Jihad

Leftist and globalist groups are joined at hip with radical Islam and Islamists. Neither has no place in a free society. Radical Islam seeks the overthrow of a country or society by violent means. Islamism works to subvert and overthrow free societies by stealth, including mass immigration (Civilizational Jihad). Not individual rights or Christianity or any other religion can exist freely under Radical Islam and Islamism. History has proven this over and over, ever since Mohamed began preaching in Mecca in 613 A.D.

Let's make an important distinction here.
We must separate moderate Islam from radical Islam and Islamism. Everyone knows there are plenty of Muslims living in western countries who assimilate and who become valued citizens. They limit Sharia law to personal matters and otherwise live by prevailing laws and societal norms. Traditional Sharia law, however, includes specific penalties and restrictions on freedom of speech, gender equality, and religious apostasy and is fundamentally at odds with Western democratic principles and human rights standards. Look at what has happened to Western Europe.

Are You Guilty for the Sins of Your Fathers? LOL, Nope.

Finally, understand that there is no such thing as collective guilt, regardless of how shrill or violent the left gets, or how determined your children’s unionized teachers and professors work to indoctrinate them. I refuse to accept the neo-Marxist notion that as a white man, I share guilt with 18^th and 19^th century slave owners. The Left badly needs you to fall for this outrageous trick. To illustrate the silliness of this ruse, consider it’s proven that former President Barack Obama, America’s first “black” President, had two ancestors on his white mother’s side who were slave owners. The mental gymnastics his handlers had to go through to minimize that inconvenient fact were hilarious.

Neo-Marxist Class Warfare, and Others with Just Plain Envy

I realize that there are people much smarter than me. It doesn’t bother me that there are men and women more successful than I am, and who have more money, or bigger houses or who drive more expensive cars. And so, unlike progressives/Marxists, I’m not afflicted with the self-loathing that drives them to compensate by showing their contempt for civilization.

What’s Next?

In future posts I’ll work to focus on the highly organized assault upon our American institutions and our individual rights by the American Progressive/Neo Marxist left, globalist politicians and the Islamists. If you peel away a couple of layers of the onion to get past the legacy media, you’ll find the truth. And the truth has no agenda.
