Appalachian Grown Cost Share is Back!

ASAP-- Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project-- announced that their Cost Share program has been funded for another year.

Ana Greenberger, Program Coordinator of ASAP's Local Food Campaign, sent out an email to ASAP certified people on February 25 saying, "Funding is available for Appalachian Grown™ certified farms and farm groups in North Carolina to promote locally grown food in 2022-2023."

If you don't already know about this valuable program, get ASAP certified and you'll be able to get up to 75% of certain approved marketing costs reimbursed. For example, I was reimbursed for half the cost of my farmers market banner through the program.

First, check the eligibility requirements. Among other stipulations,

  • You must be ASAP Certified.
  • You must be based in one of certain North Carolina counties.
